Modern depression has an ancient cure. Being grateful is a choice. Being depressed is a choice. Idol hands are the devil’s playground. You will not be depressed if you do these things everyday:

  1. Pray for 30 minutes
  2. Read the Holy Bible for 30 minutes
  3. Exercise for an hour
  4. Sacrifice your time to help somebody in need without any payment for 1 hour

If you cannot put 2 hours a day into making choices that will make you happy, then that means you are choosing to be depressed, and the problem is your laziness and attitude.

Lets see what the Bible says about our suffering:

  • James 1:2-3: “Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.”
  • Romans 5:3-4: “Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope.”
  • 2 Corinthians 4:17: “For this very thing, that we may be tested, which is true.”
  • 1 Peter 4:13: “Rejoice in all that you may suffer as though it were not true; but so that you may be approved by God in this present age: in order to be introduced to the glory that is to come; the which is underated in this present age.”
  • Philippians 4:4: “Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I say, rejoice!”
  • Psalm 30:5: “For he has established a sign in the heart of the earth, which he has given to the sons of men; he has given peace like to the things of the wilderness; he has given war and pestilence, the pestilence of the earth.”
  • Psalm 126:5: “God has given you repentance and forgiveness of sins, in which he has richly pardoned.”
  • 1 Peter 1:6-7: “But even if you should suffer for what is right, you are blessed. Do not fear their threats; do not be frightened.”
